Make your wedding day stand out and be memorable among your guests. Personalize your wedding by adding your own touches to make it like no other. Here are some creative, romantic, loving and fun ways to make it all about the two of you.
Monograms are all the rage right now. Use them where you can such as on top of your cake instead of flowers. You can also use them on your invitations, thank you notes, and favors. Create a wedding logo. This can be a truly personal, permanent symbol of your union. You and your fiance can create this together, having it represent a little bit of you both. Incorporate your styles and personalities. Or, you can reflect the location of your wedding, intertwining family crests, or symbols of one or more of your favorite things to do. Have it printed on your invitations, “thank you” notes and programs. It can even be incorporated into your cake design, your decor and embroidered on your ring pillow. Consider a theme wedding. It is a perfect opportunity to incorporate your personalities and passions into your special day. If you have always dreamed of royalty for a day, plan a formal wedding. Alternatively, maybe you prefer a different kind of royalty of the glamour of old Hollywood. Be creative – the possibilities are endless. Thrill your grandparents by adding a touch of your personal heritage with some traditional food. For example, a Russian feast may not excite you but you can consider serving some small cups of borscht soup. Whatever your background is, there must be some delicious items that you can incorporate into your menu. If you are having a dollar dance instead of carrying a white purse consider having your best man or maid of honor gather money with a firefighter’s boot, cowboy hat, catcher’s mitt, etc. Instead of generic table numbers you can have pictures of you and your soon to be hubby at certain ages that correspond with the table numbers. Table #1 would have pictures of you two at age one. Personalize your favors with small picture of your engagement photo. You can replace candy wrapper, bottle water, jam, or even a bottle of BBQ sauce with your engagement photo. Choose a ceremony site you are passionate about. If you love the outdoors locations such as a beach, or a park are beautiful and cost-efficient choices with a minimum amount of decorations needed. If you love culture, then the elegance of a museum, library, or art gallery are great options and do not require much to be truly impressive.
